Stainless Steel 420 Flanges are made up of a high carbon steel that has good corrosion resistance, good toughness and good strength values. It has 0.15% carbon, manganese, silicon, phosphorus, sulfur and up to 14% chromium in the composition. The different types such as the UNS S42000 Slip On Flange, orifice flange, threaded flange, weld neck flange, blind flange and others are used in different application circumstances. This material can be heat treated for hardness. The material gets high strength while annealed.
420 Stainless Steel Flange
SS 420 weld Neck Flange
ASTM A182 F420 Flange
The AISI SS 420 Weld Neck Flange has a welded neck onto it in which the pipe is held while welding. The welded neck also provides extra strength. The material has up to 1600MPa minimum tensile strength and up to 1360MPa minimum yield strength based on the treatment temperature. The WNR 1.4021 Blind Flange is one of the types used to close the application with different shapes available in them. The flange type varies as threaded, screwed, forged or plate flange based on the production technique. The SS 420 pipe flange can come under different specifications and standards with different dimensions and sizes. The size of the flanges can vary from ½ inches to 48 inches. There are also different face types to the flanges such as the Stainless Steel 420 Ring Joint Type Flanges, flat face flanges and the raised face flanges.
