Ansi B16 5 Class 2500 Flange Dimensions allow the flanges to hold some of the maximum pressures excerpted in pipe systems. The standard ANSI B16.5 includes flanges of ½ inches to 24 inches in nominal sizes. The pressure capacities of the flanges vary from 150lb to 2500lb. The 2500 Lb Flange Dimensions allow the flanges to undergo very high pressures up to 2500lbs. To achieve this high pressure capacity, optimum material grades have to be selected. There are different types of flanges in this standard such as slip on flanges, blind flanges, weld neck flanges and lap joint flanges.
ANSI B16.5 2500 Lb Flange
The Class 2500 lb weld neck flange dimensions are measured in imperial or metric measurements. The socket weld flanges are used in applications where the pipe has to be held onto prior to welding. Also the socket weld flanges provide extra space, surface and grip to the connection. The 2500 lb blind flange dimensions allow for the blind flanges to be connected to the end of a pipe and to close the pipeline either temporarily or permanently. The connections that need regular maintenance use the blind flanges for easy opening and closing of the pipelines. The Class 2500 Flange is one of the highest pressure rating flanges. For this high alloy materials, duplex and carbon steel materials along with stainless steel materials are used. The ASME B16.5 Class 2500 Flange is used in water lines, oil and gas, petroleum, food processing, heat exchanger, power generation oil drilling and other applications as well.
