ASTM F594 Nuts are made up of different alloys. These alloys are subdivided into group 1 and group 2. Group 1 uses type 304 and group 2 uses type 316 of the alloys. There are different shapes and types of nuts in this specification. Out of all the nuts out there, ASTM F594 Hex Nuts are more or less the go to nuts for high torque applications because these can handle force during use and during install / uninstall.
These nuts are tightened with the help of ASTM F594 Washers that keeps the nuts in a much better position than usual. It comprises of a range of carbon, manganese, phosphorous and sulfur, silicon, chromium, nickel, copper and molybdendum in different proportions depending on the grades of the alloy. It is available in various diameters from ¼ inches to 1 ½ inches and varying strength values. The F594 Stainless Steel Washers are for supporting the nuts and they’re produced from the same material as the nuts. The nuts provide a minimum proof strength of 70ksi for the lower alloy and up to 100ksi on the higher alloys.
The ASTM F594 Stainless Steel Nuts have high hardness values as well. The minimum Rockwell hardness ranges from B65 to C32 for various grades. There are different types such as the F594 Lug Nuts, wing nuts, hex nuts, square nuts and dome nuts. Each one is used in a different application such as automobile, engine parts, equipment, tools, construction and in other general corrosive applications.

Table of Content
ASTM F594 nuts are a type of fastener made from corrosion-resistant stainless steel, specifically designed to meet the standards set by ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials). These nuts are used in various industries requiring high strength, durability, and resistance to corrosion, often in demanding environments like marine or chemical industries.
