Australian Flanges are flanges made under the Australian standards and specifications. There are all different types and material grades of these flanges under Australian standards. The Australian Standard Puddle Flange involves a gasket to fit the flange puddles. These flanges come in different dimensions such as ASME B16.5, B16.47 and other international dimensions as well.

The Australian Standard Flange can range from ½ inches to 48 inches in size or from 15NB to 1200NB. There are different pressure capacities of the flanges ranging from 6Bar to 40Bar or from PN6 through Pn64. These pressure capacities of the flanges are also classified as pressure classes ranging from 150 through 2500. The Australian Standard Pipe Flanges can be made as forged, threaded, screwed or plate flanges. The flanges also have flat face, raised face and ring type joint face types. There are different supporting materials such as ring joint, flange bolt and gaskets in these flanges. The flange type can vary as socket weld, threaded ring, weld neck, slip on, lap joint and blind flanges. All flange types connect two components together where the Australian Blind Flanges end a connection. These are installed at the end of a pipeline to terminate the line. The blind flanges are useful in maintenance systems and in sludge removal. The Australian Standard Table D Flange includes the dimensions and properties of the flanges that are used in various industries such as water supply, oil and gas, petroleum, petrochemical, food processing, power generation, heat exchanger and marine engineering applications.
