ASTM F467 Nuts are non-ferrous commercial wrought nuts that are used in high tensile and high stress applications. The material has different alloy grades such as alloy 260, 464, 630 and 655 depending on the chemical composition. the ASTM F467m Nuts have aluminum copper, nickel, silicon, zinc, lead, iron and manganese in their composition. Iron can be present but in less than 4% and the amount of iron varies with the grade of alloy. The ASTM F467 Grade 5 Nuts have proof stresses varying with the grades starting from 50ksi to 130ksi.
ASTM F467 Grade 5 Nuts
ASTM F467 Nuts
ASTM F467 Hex Nuts
The size of the nuts range from ¼ inches to 1 ½ inches. Custom sizes are available for custom requirement as well. There are different types of nuts such as the ASTM F467 Wing Nuts which are used in open applications. The wings of the nuts make them easier to install with bear hands. Applications which have regular installation and removal of the nuts use this type of nuts for the ease of operation. The ASTM F467M Lock Nuts are used in heavy vibration systems such as wheels and engine parts. The lock nut design allows the nut to hang on and not loosen under heavy vibrations. There are other types such as the ASME SF467 Dome Nuts which have smooth heads. These domes avoid damage to the other components, tools and surfaces by having a polished blunt head that looks like a dome. There are hex nuts and ASTM F467 Square Nuts that are used under different circumstances as well. These nuts are used in oil and gas, construction, chemical, food processing, marine and other industrial applications.
